Google Maps & Location

Get your business listed on Google Maps so nearby customers can find you.

For business sites, Preferences → Google Maps helps you get on the map. The card reads “Show up on Google Maps” — “Customers nearby will see your business when they search on Google. It's free and takes about 5 minutes.”

The three stages

1. Confirm your business info — check your business name, phone number, address, and website (pre-filled from your site), then click Continue to Google.
2. Wait for your Google postcard — Google mails a verification code to your address in 5–7 days. When it arrives, enter the code at business.google.com, then return and click I've verified my business.
3. You're on Google Maps — once verified, customers can find you in search. Use View your listing to manage it on Google.

Good to know

• This is included on every plan — if it's locked, your site just needs an active subscription or trial.
• Only site owners can set this up.
• Keep your address and phone accurate so the listing matches your site.
